Many of you may not be aware but Cisco recently announced End of Life and End of Support on all of their SMB VoIP solutions, i.e. the UC540, UC560 & BE3000 product lines. This means if you have one of these types of VoIP systems you will definitely need to begin consideration to replace it by late 2014 with support ending in first quarter of 2015. RSI is Chosen by Sonora ISD for Wireless Network Upgrade

Responsive Services International was once again selected and preferred for a K-12 wireless network integration solution, this time Sonora ISD chose RSI, Inc. to handle their wireless upgrade for the entire school district, including administration, athletic and support facilities. After testing our product and seeing for themselves how much better the Ruckus Wireless solution is than what they had previously, Sonora ISD quickly made the decision to implement district-wide and in preparation for either a BYOD program or 1:1 initiative. Just released today from Ruckus Wireless, Responsive Services’ wireless partner, is an added feature in their existing technology called Secure Hotspot that now would allow any operators of open, public Wi-Fi hotspots the ability to secure user’s connections. It is estimated that by 2015 the number of public hotspots worldwide will have more than doubled, from 2.1 million in 2012 to approx. 6 million. This new enhancement now opens the door for cities, counties, restaurants, coffee houses, really any entity wanting to offer free public Wi-Fi the ability to do so and ensure their users are protected. Based on Ruckus-patented Dynamic Pre-Shared Key (Dynamic PSK™) and using Ruckus proprietary Zero IT Activation™ technologies, Secure Hotspot allows an operator or enterprise to offer secured encrypted access to public network Wi-Fi services by automatically configuring each device with the requisite Wi-Fi network information along with a unique pre-shared key—all without user involvement. RSI Chosen by Panhandle ISD for Wireless Network Implementation

Worth at the offices of the Region XI ESC.
